COVID-19 Infection Prevention Guidance
As a member of the Kinesiology Association it has always been fundamental for The Shengko Clinic to adhere to high hygiene standards. This policy is designed as a set of guidance notes for both the client and practitioner.
Before Client Arrives
In the last 7 days have you or any individual attending with you;
- had a high temperature or been hot to touch on your chest and/or back?
- had a new continuous cough or any other new symptoms of feeling unwell?
- lost sensation of taste and/or smell?
- been in contact (under 2 meters) with anyone with a confirmed Covid-19 diagnosis or someone exhibiting the above 3 symptoms in the last 14 days?
- travelled abroad and/or been instructed by the government to quarantine?
- have been instructed by the government or NHS to self-isolate for any reason?
- fall under the clinically/extremely vulnerable category?
- live with someone who is in the clinically/extremely vulnerable category?
If your answer to any of the above questions is yes, please contact Jamie Linegar on 07876 641278 ASAP so that your appointment can be re-arranged to a later date.
Also please know that your practitioner will be evaluating the same set of questions on a daily basis. If the answer to any of the above is yes you will be contacted immediately.
Once Client Arrives
All appointments will be staggered to ensure clients are never at the clinic premises at any one time.
Adequate time will be left between all appointments for the necessary cleaning of all facilities. All usual touch points will be fully cleaned and the treatment room and toilet will be fully aired between appointments.
All efforts will be made to ensure appointment times do not run over. This allows the necessary time between clients for the practitioner to sanitise all areas.
Unless surrogate testing is necessary or children are attending with a parent/guardian, clients will be asked to always arrive alone. No waiting areas will be available for family members whilst an appointment is in progress.
Hand sanitiser will be available at the front door of the clinic for clients to sanitise their hands on arrival.
Clients will be politely asked to remove their shoes at the front entrance.
Testing vials will be placed in glass ramekin dishes that can be sterilised between clients.
It is currently stated that the practitioner wear gloves, an apron (or change clothes between clients), a mask and a visor. Gloves make kinesiology incredibly difficult (arguably impossible) to carry out effectively. Thorough hand washing between clients is standard practice and will continue to be so. Clothes will be changed between all clients. A mask and visor will be available for the practitioner to wear on your arrival.
If you as the client wish to wear a mask please ensure you bring your mask to your appointment with you.
Fresh drinking water is highly recommended before, during and after your appointment. To avoid all unnecessary handling of glasses etc it is best you bring your own water bottle with you.
The toilet will have a supply of disposable paper towels for hand drying.
There are many occasions where your practitioner will need to work on and around your head. If you prefer your practitioner to work away from your head please discuss on arrival.
Blankets will be available for clients if necessary. All linen used will be washed at 60 degrees between clients.
Please be aware that your health, comfort and sense of safety is of paramount importance at all times during your appointment. After all, the ultimate goal is for you to enjoy the fullest experience of Systematic Kinesiology and its vast benefits. If we can achieve this while still giving respect to all the above, we are winning!!
